เทศกาลมิตรภาพไทย-เกาหลีได้เริ่มจัดขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี 2010 เป็นกิจกรรมความร่วมมือระหว่างสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีประจำประเทศไทย และกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมแห่งประเทศไทย เพื่อในการเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรม และกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตของทั้ง 2 ประเทศให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น เนื่องในปีนี้เป็นปีครบรอบ 70 ปี การประกาศอิสรภาพของประเทศเกาหลี อีกทั้งประเทศเกาหลีได้ประสบกับการระบาดของไวรัสเมอร์ส ส่วนประเทศไทยก็มีเหตุระเบิดในกรุงเทพมหานคร ซึ่งได้ส่งผลกระทบต่อเศรษฐกิจ และการท่องเที่ยว ดังนั้นเทศกาลมิตรภาพไทย – เกาหลี 2015 ภายใต้หัวข้อ Visit & Taste ในครั้งนี้จึงเป็นการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว และวัฒนธรรม อีกทั้งยังเป็นกิจกรรมที่ทำให้ทุกท่านได้สัมผัสกับกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมต่างๆ ของไทยและเกาหลี เช่น การแสดงทางพื้นบ้านของไทยและเกาหลี เทควันโด มวยไทย รวมถึงนักร้องนักแสดงจากทั้ง 2 ประเทศ มาร่วมสร้างสีสันให้กับงานนี้อีกด้วย

Thailand-Korea Friendship Festival was first organized since 2010 as the cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Thailand and the Ministry of Culture of Thailand in order to promote the culture and strengthen the diplomatic relationship between both countries. On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Korean Independence and as Korea had faced with MERS outbreak while Thailand had the bomb incident that affected to economy and tourism. So that Thailand-Korea Friendship Festival 2015 “Visit & Taste” is organized to promote tourism and culture. Also, this event would give the opportunity to audience to experience Thai and Korean various cultural activities such as Thai and Korean traditional performances, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, including Thai and Korean stars.
