The prestigious Swiss watch brand Mido, presented its latest novelty the Multifort TV Big Date collection at an impressive event in Bangkok, Thailand. The timepiece stands out with its iconic TV-shaped case design, a revival of the cult classic shape created 50 years ago by Mido. Precision, strength and boldness, the Multifort TV Big Date embodies Mido’s historic watchmaking expertise and pays tribute to its rich heritage.
The event, hosted by the brand’s CEO, Mr. Franz Linder, took place at the Park Hyatt Bangkok and welcomed many Asian guests, including press, influencers, Thai celebrities such as Ittirit Ratanadaros Umpujh, Sirin Sriorathaikul, Parva Nakasai, Ekachai Sukumvitaya, Nutsima Sirisoonthorn and Thai famous actors and actresses such as Matt-Peeranee Kongthai, Mew-Nittha Jirayungyurn, March-Chutavuth Pattarakampol, Mark-Siwat Jumlongkul and Mido Brand Ambassador “Kim Soo Hyun” The famous South Korean actor invited the attendees to enjoy an immersive experience “Inspired by New Visions”, all while displaying his distinctive dynamic style which perfectly matches this unique timepiece.
All guests embarked on a mesmerizing journey through the captivating world of television at this year’s Mido event. Several areas of the venue allowed the guests to enter into TV-shape like settings and feel like a TV star! To make this unique event even more unforgettable, Mido welcomed the charismatic South Korean actor and Brand Ambassador, Kim Soo Hyun. Who graced the occasion with his presence in the beautiful setting of Bangkok, Thailand. A multitude of stunning TVs, showcasing the latest collection from the watchmaking brand. Each television screen captivated the senses, displaying the exquisite craftsmanship and design that Mido is renowned for. From modern design to technological mastery, the new collection will be a true testament to Mido’s commitment to excellence.

Multifort TV Big Date: Born from Mido’s extraordinary heritage
The Multifort TV Big Date is the harmony of new perspectives inspired by a classic archetype. The timepiece features a modern design with a captivating dégradé effect dial fading to black. The standout feature is the Big Date display at 12 o’clock, a small complication typically used on high-end watches that on the timepiece is powered by the formidable, latest-generation automatic Caliber 80 movement, equipped with a high-tech balance spring in Nivachron™ that offers outstanding shock and magnetic field resistance. The gradient dial allows perfect legibility with white Super-LumiNova® coated hands and indexes. The robust stainless steel case, screw-down crown, and sapphire crystal glass ensure enhanced durability. The transparent case back reveals the finely decorated gears of the Swiss movement, accompanied by an oscillating weight adorned with Côtes de Genève and the engraved Mido logo. With a power reserve of up to 80 hours and water resistance up to 10 bar (100 m/330 ft), the Multifort TV Big Date exemplifies precision, durability, and reliability in every detail.
Four other models are featured in the launch of this collection, two steel versions – one with a green gradient dial and another with a black gradient dial, and two versions with rubber straps – one in navy blue and the other in Mido’s highly distinctive orange.
