TWENTY ONE PILOTS ANNOUNCED AS MTV’S INTERNATIONAL PUSH ARTIST FOR SEPTEMBER

 

 

 

SINGAPORE, 3 SEPTEMBER 2013 - American musical duo, twenty one pilots, has been selected to be MTV’s International PUSH artist for the month of September.

MTV PUSH is MTV’s international promotional vehicle dedicated to bringing music fans around the world the latest talent.  Using especially produced on-air video and online content, twenty one pilots will be heavily promoted across all MTV’s international platforms, throughout the month of September.

twenty one pilots is an American musical duo – Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun – from Columbus, Ohio formed in 2009. The duo has earned widespread applause for their energetic live sets and distinctive fusion of piano-driven schizoid pop and lyrical uplift. No strangers to the road, twenty one pilots has built a fervent national following via their electrifying live performances at numerous headline shows and tours. In April 2012, they announced their signing to Atlantic Records subsidiary label Fueled by Ramen and released their recording debut with a new EP titled Three Songs released summer 2012.  Three Songs was soon followed by a full-length album titled Vesselavailable now.

The international MTV PUSH initiative has fostered some of today’s best known and hottest acts with previous artists including Carly Rae Jepsen, Rita Ora, LMFAO, Jessie J, Ke$ha, Justin Bieber, Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky and Bruno Mars.
